If you were one of the many motorists inconvenienced, or perhaps entertained, Sunday afternoon when a low-riding car hauler bottomed out at a railroad crossing in Lovejoy, these photos we took may be of interest to you.

While we’re not sure exactly when the big rig got hung up on the Talmadge Road crossing, we saw it there around 5 p.m., and it was well after six before a Tara Wrecker duo had it and its driver back on their way. Lovejoy Police were on the scene to keep traffic moving in a detour around the scene, but this time it was wrecker drivers themselves who played the part of hero, quickly figuring out how to get the heavy vehicle dislodged and clearing the busy roadway.
